New Firmware available for ServoI and ServoII Controllers!

posted Apr 26, 2011 8:20 AM by Chuck Shaw   [ updated Jun 17, 2011 5:33 PM ]

Firmware updates to v37A for ServoI, and v86A for ServoII are now available for download.

Version 37A.bin is available to update the firmware for ServoI controllers (using ServoConfig 1.1).  It fixes some issues with data fields not staying set to the right values in the controller.

Version 86A.bin is available to update the firmware for ServoII controllers (using ServoConfig 1.2).  It  fixes the same issues with data fileds not staying set to the right values in the controller, and also fixes a bug in the ServoII controller firmware that prevented PEC tables being updated inthe controller via the RS232 link.

DOWNLOADS Page Updated November 14th, 2011

posted Jun 9, 2010 12:29 PM by Chuck Shaw   [ updated Nov 14, 2011 8:26 PM ]

The DOWNLOADS Page has been updated to all the latest versions of the software and firmware (Sitechexe.exe version 56Z).   The new ServoII controller runs the same Sitechexe.exe program as the ServoI series Controllers do.  However, the ServoII Controller runs a different version of Firmware (v86A)

The new ServoII Controller uses an updated version of Servo Config (v1.2) to upload its firmware.  It is VERY important not to use Servoconfig v1.1 to try and upload the v86A.bin firmware to the ServoII controllers!   You must use Servoconfig 1.2 for firmware updates to the ServoII controllers!

Both of the ServoII "unique" files (ServoConfig.exe v1.2  and v86A.bin)  are zipped together in a single zip archive on the downloads page.

For all the files, explanations have been added in the info section to help understand what is "required" and what are only needed for the "advanced" features in Sitechexe.exe

Cheers!

posted Oct 6, 2009 11:52 AM by Chuck Shaw   [ updated Oct 24, 2010 7:01 AM ]

Both the SETUP Manual and the OPERATIONS manual are now finished in in their initial release edition.  They both are posted on the "SETUP and OPERATIONS Manuals" page.

Thanks to Jim Roe and Brian Coote, there are copies of the manuals now also posted that should work on Kindles! (and a tip 'o the hat to Jim and Brian!)

If you have questions on the system, please use these manuals to try to answer your questions first.   If you cannot find the answers, then post your questions on the Sitech Yahoo Listserver.

Cheers!
